NEARING DEATH
Jasmine reads "Dream of Deaths" and Joshua reads "The Crease on The Painting" as they reflect on death and what it means to be alive.
We often see death as a scary thing and we avoid talking about it at all costs. But what if we see it as the one liberating thing in life that is certain, amidst all uncertainties of our future? The truth is, we know no future, no matter how carefully we plan for it. Does death then give us a sense of peace?
We know death is coming whether we like it or not, and this gives a purpose to our lives in return — the idea that life is temporary and we should make the best out of it. That we should never take our lives for granted and to appreciate it because it could be taken from us within the next day. Hour. Minute. Second.
